Novice
Intended only for dancers with less than 2 years of bachata experience, little to no Jack & Jill experience, and no teaching background at all, whether free or remunerated. Dancers in this division should comfortably identify as beginners. Competitors must not have previously won 1st place in any Bachata Jack & Jill competition, including amateur divisions.

Intermediate 
This competition is for more experienced social dancers with 2+ years of solid regular bachata training and may have had experience in Bachata festivals and competitions. Dancers in this division should comfortably identify as intermediate-level dancers. Teachers who are remunerated on a monthly or weekly basis for teaching Bachata are not eligible. Competitors must not have previously won 1st place in any intermediate, advanced, or pro level Bachata Jack & Jill competition.

Intermediate is Judged by:  Robinson & Larissa, Borja & Lydia, Ola

Advanced
This competition is for more experienced social dancers with 5+ years of solid regular bachata training and may have had frequent experience in Bachata festivals and competitions. Dancers in this division should comfortably identify as advanced-level dancers. Teachers who are remunerated on a monthly or weekly basis for teaching Bachata must compete in this category. There are no restrictions on who can compete in this category if they wish to challenge their skills. 
Advanced is Judged by:   Luis & Andrea, Robinson & Larissa, Borja & Lydia
